The Falsies Push-Up Drama Mascara Review

Hello!

I hope all of you are doing well and having a wonderful day! Today’s review is on The Falsies Push-Up Drama mascara. First of all, WHY, MAYBELLINE, WHY? As you can tell, this review is not a positive one. But even so, I will start with the pros.

PROS:  Very black and waterproof. This baby did not want to budge at all with a makeup wipe.

CONS: Even though it was very waterproof when you wanted to remove it, it transferred easily throughout the day onto the browbone. So, if you’re like me and you have naturally long lashes that touch your browbone, this is definitely not a good choice. The brush looked as though it would be very separating, but unfortunately the bristles were just too short. If the bristles were longer, it would’ve been a great mascara wand. SO close, but unfortunately no cigar. This mascara was also very clumpy. The combination of the actual formula and the brush was not good at all.

If you didn’t catch my drift, this mascara is NOT worth your money. It may work on other people, and I know a few people who really like it. But this is just how it worked for me. I do love Maybelline products, and will continue to try out new products of this brand. This mascara was just not a favorite.

I hope you enjoyed this review!

NEW Fit Me Matte + Poreless Review

Hello lovelies!

Today it is a hot 95 degrees in Arizona.. yikes. Although, because of the weather, I thought it would be a perfect time to review a new foundation! So today, this review is all about the new Fit Me Matte + Poreless Foundation by Maybelline.

This foundation comes in 16 different shades (Porcelain 110, Natural Ivory 112, Ivory 115, Classic Ivory 120, Nude Beige 125, Warm Nude 128, Buff Beige 130, Natural Beige 220, Soft Tan 228, Natural Buff 230, Pure Beige 235, Rich Tan 238, Sun Beige 310, Warm Honey 322, Toffee 330, Coconut 355).

This foundation claims to mattify and refine pores, match natural tone of skin, and leave a natural and seamless finish. This foundation also states that it is made for normal to oily skin.

Now that we are done with the facts, let’s get to the review!

This foundation is lovely, to be honest. I don’t use a lot of foundation, because I prefer to let my skin do the talking instead of my makeup. Although, since I apply so little amount of foundation, my skin usually soaks up any foundation that goes onto my skin. And because my skin is oily, foundations usually end up caking on me and looking pretty yucky by the end of the day. This is why most of the time I don’t use foundation. This foundation, however, is mattifying without looking flat, and keeps my skin looking natural while covering any redness. This formula appears very thick (and in fact, it startled me a bit when I first opened it), but when applied to the skin it almost melts as it glides seamlessly over the face.

Usually around 4 pm, I end up needing to put powder in my t-zone because of oil. However, with this foundation, I didn’t even feel the need to powder at all! It truly does work well, and keeps my t-zone matte. Now, when I say “matte”, I do not mean a “no shine at all and super flat” type of matte. I am talking about a non-greasy t-zone, that still has a skin-like appearance. If you are a fan of the super matte look, this may not be for you.

Overall, I love this foundation and would highly recommend it for all you oily t-zoned girls out there!

-I am wearing the shade Porcelain 110 on my cheeks, chin, and forehead.

World Traveler Palette by Anastasia Beverly Hills Review

Hello lovelies!

I hope you are all having a wonderful day wherever you are! Today I have a very exciting review for you- it’s all about the NEW Limited Edition World Traveler Palette by Anastasia Beverly Hills.

-The shades in the first row (from left to right) are: Soft Peach, Morocco (deep burnt orange with an ultra-matte finish), Heirloom (pinkish eggplant with a sparkle finish), Bellini (golden pink with a satin finish), Pink Champagne, and Chic (taupe gray with a shimmer finish).

-The shades in the second row (from left to right) are: Spoiled (gold-flecked peach with a metallic finish), Fudge (rich chocolate brown with an ultra-matte finish), Azure (bright vibrant blue with a metallic finish), Intense Gaze (bronzed pink with a satin finish), Metallic, and Noir (deep carbon black with an ultra-matte finish).

PROS:  This palette is beautiful to say the least. These ultra creamy shadows are so easy to blend, have no fall-out, and stay on all day without creasing or smudging. I was seriously impressed with this palette. The shade Morocco is definitely one of my new favorites! I have hazel eyes, and this shade brings out the green in them perfectly!

CONS: The shade Spoiled was the only shade not worth a million dollars! Although it had the same creamy, easy to blend formula as the other shades, Spoiled just wasn’t pigmented enough. This shade was also the ONLY shade that had some fall-out.

Overall, I think this palette is fantastic and would highly recommend it!

-Shades I am wearing above: Soft peach(lids), Morocco(crease and outer half of lower lash line), Fudge(outer corner of crease), Spoiled (applied with pinky finger to lid, inner corner, and inner half of the lower lash line).

I hope you enjoyed this review!

NEW Naked Smoky Palette-Review

Hello lovelies,

After a very long hiatus, I am back to writing! And today I have something very exciting to write about- The NEW Naked Smoky palette by Urban Decay.

If you are familiar with the other Naked palettes, you will know that these shadows from Urban Decay are very smooth, easy to blend, and pigmented. I personally like the Naked 3 palette more than the Smoky palette, but that is only because I tend to wear more rosy shades on a day-to-day basis. Nonetheless, this palette is gorgeous. The darker shades are more pigmented than the light shades, but they are very easy to build up. I had no problem with these shadows creasing or smudging throughout the day, and the pigmentation was relatively long lasting. It wouldn’t last you a complete 24 hours, but who keeps their eyeshadow on for that long anyway?

Overall, I think this is a beautiful palette for we ladies who love a good smokey eye!

I hope you enjoyed this review!

Moisture Surge

Hello lovelies,

This post is for all you ladies (or men) in need of some moisturizing goodness.

DSC_3502

Caudalie Hand and Nail Cream:

I have very dry hands. I am talking about the super dry, cracked, and uncomfortable hands people tend to get during winter. I am definitely a person who has difficulty keeping my hands soft, as I am a crazy hand-washer. About a month ago, my hands were in super bad condition, and nothing seemed to help them. Even slathering vaseline on them and sticking them in socks at night didn’t do the trick. I decided enough was enough and went searching for a hand cream at Sephora one day. I came across a hand and nail cream by Caudalie, and decided to give it a try. Boy oh boy, I am so glad I did! My hands were almost completely healed in one night! Within two nights of putting this cream on my hands, my hands were completely back to normal and felt so so good! And because this is a hand and nail cream, I also noticed that my nails looked healthier than before I had used it. The smell is very fresh and a tad citrusy. This is such a wonderful product, and I would HIGHLY recommend it! No cons to this product!

Smith’s Rosebud Salve Balm:

This is basically the cousin to vaseline. Or twin. Okay… so this is practically vaseline in a tube. Although, it does have a slight rose smell to it, and it also contains cotton seed oil for added moisture. I love to use this on my lips at night and in the morning, however you can use it during the day and it won’t feel greasy or sticky. I love this lip balm and I am very impressed with it! If you are looking for a good lip balm but don’t want to spend the big bucks to moisturize your pout, this is definitely a great option!

I hope you enjoyed this review!

L’oreal Infallible Pro-Spray & Set Review

Hello lovelies!

Many of you most likely already know about makeup setting sprays. There are tons out there made from different brands. Today I want to talk to you specifically about the Infallible Pro-Spray & Set Makeup Extender setting spray by L’oreal.

DSC_3328This setting spray is WONDERFUL. It truly helps your makeup to stay on all day. It comes out in a perfect mist, and dispenses just the right amount of product. I spray quite a lot, but I think it’s probably just because I like the way it feels on my face! Haha! In my opinion, it is a dupe for the Urban Decay De-Slick Setting Spray. I had used the Urban Decay one previously, and don’t get me wrong, it is a GREAT product. Although, the Urban Decay setting spray is $30, and the L’oreal one is $16.99. The L’oreal setting spray works just as well as the Urban Decay setting spray, so I think you know which one I’ll be re-purchasing. HINT: it’s by L’oreal. This is a magnificent setting spray for such a low price, and I would highly recommend it!

I hope you enjoyed this review!

January Favorites 2015

Hello lovelies!

I hope you all had a wonderful January! Last month I didn’t really discover a lot of NEW products, but I definitely did pick up things that I hadn’t used in a while. Check out my favorites below!

MAKEUP:

-Dandelion blush- Benefit Cosmetics

This blush is incredibly easy to blend, and it is a lovely natural color for my fair skin.

-NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer

This concealer is a fantastic product. It is definitely more “up there” in price, but it works wonders so it’s worth it! This concealer not only brightens, but also evens and corrects. The one bad thing is it does tend to crease. Although, if you are careful to only apply what you need (a little goes a LONG way!) and blend it out, then you won’t have a problem!

-COMBO of Gimme Brow by Benefit and Brow Wiz by Anastasia

I love this combination! First of all, yes, the Brow Wiz is AWESOME by itself. Although, if you want some extra BAM in your brows, then using the Gimme Brow on top just makes your brows look especially fantastic.

-NYX Born to Glow Liquid Illuminator

I had completely forgotten about this product in my drawer, but last month re-discovered it. And I can’t believe I forgot about it! This product is truly incredible. It highlights beautifully and adds a certain “wet” sheen to the skin. It is slightly pinky hued, but not too dark of a pink. You fair-skinned ladies can most likely relate… if a highlighter is TOO dark pink, it just makes you look like you don’t know where blusher goes. This highlighter is just the perfect shade! Plus it’s drugstore.. so it won’t hurt your wallet.

-Laura Mercier Palette

This is just a simply gorgeous palette. All of the shades are beautiful! These shadows are super buttery, easy to blend and stay on all day.

SKINCARE:

-Exuviance Vespera Bionic Serum

This serum is an anti-aging product, although I use it primarily for locking in moisture before I put on my moisturizer(I use the Daily Face Moisturizer by First Aid Beauty). Although I don’t use this product specifically for anti-aging purposes, it has faded my acne scars brightened my skin!

-Clean & Clear Deep Cleaning Astringent

This product has really helped to prevent breakouts, while clearing up existing breakouts. I was using the On-the-spot acne treatment by Neutrogena EVERYWHERE, but it tells you ON THE SPOT for a reason. Putting it all over was just way too drying. So now I use the astringent for areas, and then the Neutrogena treatment for spots only. Overall it’s a great and affordable astringent.

HAIR:

-3 Minute Miracle Moist- Aussie

This deep conditioner is so lovely. This leaves your hair feeling soft and silky, and leaves no residue. It also smells like coconut, so that’s a plus! This is just a lovely, not too pricey, simple deep conditioner. Whether you have brittle and dry hair, or just want to give your hair a treat, this product is truly rewarding!

HOME:

-Over the ear headphones- Urbanears

These are wonderful good quality headphones! They work very well and the sound quality is very good. I am using them now as we speak! If you are looking for a pair of headphones to drown out the outside noise, then these are the headphones for you.

-Banana Nutmeg Bread Pudding candle- Bath & Body Works

Description: A scrumptious new spin on the traditional bread pudding recipe- creamy banana, freshly grated nutmeg and brown sugar are mixed into a sweet indulgence.

-Cinnamon Sugared Doughnut candle- Bath & Body Works

Description: Freshly grated cinnamon and sparkling sugar crystals meet freshly baked cake doughnut with a hint of vanilla bean extract in this delicious blend.

SHOWS I’M LOVING:

-Downton Abbey

-White Collar (on Netflix!)

-Psych (on Netflix!)
